Fellowship Bootcamp: From Idea to Publication
From Grassroots Knowledge to Global Knowledge Across Africa and many parts of the world, powerful knowledge exists within communities — local insights, lived experiences, and grassroots innovations. Yet too often, these voices remain unheard in global conversations. How do we bridge that gap? How do we transform grassroots knowledge into globally recognized knowledge that shapes policy, research, and development? The Palaver Institute Research Series brings together scholars, educators, and practitioners to explore this important conversation. In this session, we will examine how knowledge emerging from communities can inform global research, strengthen institutions, and contribute to meaningful change. We are excited to host an incredible lineup of speakers for this conversation: Dr. Ebot Walter Ojong, Ph.D. Senior Lecturer in Chemical Pathology, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Buea CEO, Humans Group Ltd Eileen Blessing Partnerships Lead, Palaver Institute Nestor D Nji Professional STEM Educator | Researcher Together, they will share insights on knowledge production, research impact, and the role of local expertise in shaping global understanding. If you are passionate about research, knowledge creation, education, and development, this is a conversation you should not miss. Join us as we explore how local knowledge can inform global conversations and shape the future of research.
